The Yz250 is in no way bulletproof, in fact it has one of the worst transmission designs. I had one, and two of my buddies, all experienced transmission failures at 40-60hrs. Using the correct trans fluid and changing it very meticulously.
i just got a ’90 yz 250 and its clean ..will this thing even compare, its fast as heck n sick power band, its cool lookin n i wanna rip it..anyone know anything on this..?

Yamaha is fully over rated.. rode my mates yz450f the other day and it was shit. vibrating like hell. noisey and no instant power like my rmz450! they don’t even last like people think they do. the only decent Yamaha is the 250f

I was riding both, KTM and Yamaha, i think that KTM is far in front of Japan bikes, when it comes to 2T models.
